Prostate Cancer ..... my story

On May 28th this year, I underwent a full radical prostatectomy and with it the cancer was removed from my body. Today, I received the results from my most recent PSA test — I’m still cancer-free.

Throughout the darkest moments when fear overwhelmed me and my mind was filled with “why” and “what if”, my yoga practice became a source of grounding and strength. It held me up, just as it does for so many who come here navigating their own cancer journey.

If you find yourself on this path and are in need of support, please reach out. Yoga truly can help.

In her powerful book The Cancer Whisperer, Sophie Sabbage wrote: “I had cancer, but it never had me.” That line stayed with me — and still does. I repeat it often, because it reminds me of my strength.

We get two lives and the second begins the moment we realise we only have one.

So please, remember to smile, breathe and go slowly.
